Monaghan dented Cork's title hopes with a rousing draw at Century Homes Park.

The league's bottom side had the boost of a goal after just 90 seconds when Eddie Meier ran through onto Stephen Murphy's ball to shoot home.

Noel Hartigan then rose high to head Cork level from Ollie Cahill's cross on 23 minutes.

But Monaghan battled back again to regain the lead two minutes before the break when Darren McKenna's deflected shot beat Michael Devine.

Stephen Napier earned Cork their point with a second equaliser six minutes after the break, again firing home a Cahill cross.
