Premiership: No ban for Boa Morte

Luis Boa Morte will not face a suspension following his dismissal during Fulham's clash with Everton.

The club appealed over the referee's decision, and the FA has reached the verdict that no sanctions will be imposed on him.

Deputy managing director Lee Hoos told the club's official website: "It was a fair hearing where the video evidence was carefully looked at."

"We are grateful to the FA for their verdict, and that Luis will not have to serve a suspension," he added.

Fulham assistant manager Christian Damiano insisted the winger was just protecting himself.

He said: "We saw the Everton defender get up and touch Luis with his knee - and continue with his foot. Did Luis prefer to have blood on his face or react and protect his face?

"Sometimes referees miss things and make one mistake. He refereed strictly and if a player just bumped into an opponent, it was a foul.

"The video was very interesting for the referee, and also for us. You can read a game through pictures, and the pictures spoke a lot. I had confidence in the decision the FA would come to."
