Premiership: Moore comes to Toffees' rescue
Everton 1, Derby Co 0 (full-time)
Substitute Joe-Max Moore came to Everton’s rescue with his first goal in 18 months.
The American came on at half time to grab a crucial winner that deepened desperate Derby’s misery at the bottom and pushed Everton into the top half.
Finally, on 75 minutes, Everton got their noses in front. Watson’s ball in from the right was flicked on by Radzinski and Moore hurled himself at the ball on the far post to bravely head past Oakes.
Derby then brought on Giorgi Kinkladze for Mawene as they tried to salvage something.
Gascoigne then set up Radzinski with a marvellous piece of skill, the shot flicking inches wide.
