Les Ferdinand scored the 10,000th goal in the FA Premiership today when he opened the scoring for Tottenham against Fulham.

The striker steered home Darren Anderton's cross to give his side a 20th minute lead.

It was Tottenham's 495th goal since the competition was launched in 1992.

Brian Deane struck the first Premier League goal for Sheffield United in their 2-1 win over Manchester United on August 15, 1992.
