Champions League: Arsenal beat Juve

Arsenal 2, Juventus 1

Arsenal got back to winning ways by defeating Italian giants Juventus at Highbury helped by two Freddie Ljungberg strikes.

The Swede opened the scoring on 21 minutes after Juventus'’ keeper Gianluigi Buffon was unable to hold Patrick Viera’s drive and he was on hand to net the rebound.

Seven minutes later, Thierry Henry doubled Arsenal’s lead when his beautifully floated free-kick deceived the Juventus wall and Buffon.

Following the interval the visitors scored after David Trezeguet’s shot was deflected over the line by luckless Arsenal keeper Stuart Taylor. Ljungberg’s second came with two minutes remaining after substitute Dennis Bergkamp put him through on goal.
