Eircom League: Derry keep in touch in fourth

UCD 2 Derry City 2

Derry twice came from behind as they earned a fifth draw on the spin to keep

themselves in touch fourth from top of the table.

All the goals came in a dramatic nine-minute spell just after the hour mark.

Mick O'Donnell shot UCD in front after a fine move involving Eoin Keating and

Ciaran Martyn.

Tommy McCallion levelled a minute later as his shot deceived Barry Ryan.

But Robbie Martin lobbed Russell Payne to restore UCD's lead within a further

60 seconds only for Liam Coyle to score Derry's second equaliser on 69 minutes.

UCD had Clive Delaney sent off for a second bookable offence 14 minutes from

time.
