Manchester City manager Kevin Keegan could face disciplinary action for a verbal attack on the referee during his side’s defeat to Blackburn in the Worthington Cup last night.

Manchester City manager Kevin Keegan could face disciplinary action for a verbal attack on the referee during his side’s defeat to Blackburn in the Worthington Cup last night.

Keegan suggested after the match that the referee wanted to be the centre of attention.

Keegan was fuming after losing the tie, which saw City battle to the end with only 10 men because of an early red card for Christian Negouai.
