Premiership: Today's review - Barthez blunders gifts Arsenal win
Arsenal came back from a goal down to beat Manchester United 3-1 at Highbury today. Paul Scholes was the first goal-scorer after 15minutes and it was Ljungberg who scored Arsenal’s first.
Two spectacular errors by Manchester United goalkeeper Fabien Barthez gave French striker Thierry Henry the opportunity he needed to put the Gunners third in the Premiership.
Liverpool are today’s Premiership leaders after beating Sunderland by a goal to nil at Anfield. Liverpool lost Dietmar Hamann a minute before the break for a two-footed tackle but an Emile Heskey header gave the side their three points.
Leeds remain in second place after a one-all draw against Aston Villa. Alan Smith received a red card and a three-match ban for an elbow on Alpay while Robbie Keane missed two glorious chances on goal.
Elsewhere, Middlesbrough and Ipswich shared out a goal-less draw.
Full-time:
