Soccer: Ireland and Scotland may join to host Euro 2008
Scotland is considering a joint bid with Ireland to host the European Championships in 2008.
It is believed that Scotland may not be able to meet the criteria for suitable stadia and may need the help of a neighbouring country to secure the championships.
Spokesman for the Scottish FA, Andy Mitchell said they have a wide range of options and are considering whether or not to propose a combined bid, but will only ask for the help of Ireland if they are unable to host the tournament on their own.
UEFA has yet to declare the exact criteria for staging the event.
