Matthew Le Tissier is again troubled by injury as Southampton go in search of their first win at their £30m new ground at St Mary’s.

Le Tissier has yet to start a first-team match this season, but came off the substitutes’ bench at Derby last week.

However, the former England man sustained a calf-muscle strain in a reserve-team friendly at Rushden & Diamonds earlier this week and is rated as doubtful to face Charlton tomorrow.

Ecuadorian new signing Kleber Chala will again be a substitute as Saints seek to end a dismal run of one point from five matches at their new home.

Norwegian midfield player Jo Tessem is also recovering from a calf strain, but is expected to be available for selection.

Team (from): Jones, Dodd, Lundekvam, Williams, Bridge, Telfer, Marsden, Oakley, Svensson, Pahars, Beattie, Moss, Delap, El Khalej, Chala, Le Tissier, Davies, Monk, Tessem.
