Eircom League Cup: Longford through to quarter-finals
Longford Town 2 UCD 1
Longford got out of jail with a 93rd minute equaliser before Eric Lavine put them into the quarter-finals of the League Cup with an extra-time winner.
Sean Finn was set to be UCD's hero with a goal on his full debut.
Finn stuck for the lead two minutes into the second-half when lobbing Stephen O'Brien from Eoin Keating superb ball.
Having wasted several good chances in the first-half, Town left it late to
equalise when Stephen Gavin scrambled the ball home three minutes into
stoppage time.
Lavine then won it eight minutes into extra-time when stabbing home from
close range from Alan Kirby's cross.
