Soccer: Palace to bring Bruce to court

Crystal Palace are taking manager Steve Bruce to court in an attempt to stop him from walking out of the club without serving a period of notice.

Palace officials will seek an injunction requiring Bruce to serve nine months’ notice at a special hearing scheduled for tomorrow.

Bruce, a target of Birmingham City, has already tried to tender his resignation, but chairman Simon Jordan has refused to accept it.
