Premiership: Veron free to play in United-Liverpool tie

FIFA has given Juan Sebastien Veron permission to play for Manchester United against Liverpool this Sunday.

Veron plans to participate in Argentina’s World Cup qualifier against Peru on November 7 and there were fears that FIFA’s ‘five-day rule’ would rule him out of the United tie.

However, FIFA decided to overlook this rule because of the late confirmation of the date for the Argentina-Peru game.
