Chelsea's penalty villain of the humiliating 2-0 UEFA Cup defeat against Hapoel Tel Aviv admits the side ‘‘owe it to the fans’’ to rescue their European campaign in the must-win return leg at Stamford Bridge tonight.

John Terry handled an 88th-minute cross to give away the penalty that Shimon Gershon converted.
