Eircom League: Derry go joint top
Derry City 3, St Patrick's Athletic 1 (full-time)
Derry maintained their super home form to go joint top of the table in front of the Brandywell faithful.
Gareth McGlynn shot them in front on the counterattack after 26 minutes.
The 18-year-old collected a clearance from a St Pat's corner, played a one-two
with Liam Coyle, before shooting past Shay Kelly at the other end.
Darren Kelly made it 2-0 on 65 minutes before Jamie Hughes sealed Derry's win
with a third 11 minutes later.
Liam Kelly got St. Pat's consolation goal four mintues from time but it was never enough to prevent a second defeat of the season.
