Champions League: Thompson praise for one-man strike-force

Stand-in boss Phil Thompson singled out workaholics Emile Heskey and Danny Murphy for special praise as Liverpool moved to the brink of qualifying for the next stage of the Champions League.

Heskey, Liverpool’s one-man strike-force, turned in a display of courage and commitment against an increasingly desperate Dynamo Kiev outfit, who eventually went out of the competition by losing 2-1 and surrendering their unbeaten home record against British teams.
