Shelbourne moved up to second in the table, for the moment at least, with a

workmanlike win over second bottom Monaghan.

Stephen Geogeghan then scored twice early in the second-half to kill off

Monaghan's challenge.

Geoghegan tapped in his first on 51 minutes also from another Richie Baker

cross before putting Reds 3-0 up seven minutes later.

Ken Lundy got Monaghan's consolation goal on 72 minutes.
