Eircom League: Galway earn first home point
Galway United 1 Longford Town 1
Billy Clery earned Galway United their first home point of the season from
the penalty spot.
The United skipper stepped up to drill home from 12 yards on 32 minutes after
Town defender Paul McNally tripped Ollie Keogh.
Prior to that it had been a happy return to Terryland Park for former Galway
striker Eric Lavine who shot Longford in front after just five minutes.
Lavine ran clear onto Alan Kirby's pass to shoot under Eddie Hickey.
