Soccer: Man City sign Mettomo from St Etienne

Manchester City have signed Cameroon international Lucien Mettomo from French club St Etienne for £1.5m.

The versatile player, who can assume a midfield or defensive role, has signed a four-year deal that will see the fee rise to £2m depending on appearances.

Mettomo has not been signed in time for tomorrow’s home game against Birmingham and will have to wait a while to play his first match for City because of international commitments.
