Champions League: O'Neill appeal fails

Celtic's appeal against manager Martin O'Neill's one match ban has been rejected by the Court of Arbitration of Sport.

Celtic's appeal against manager Martin O'Neill's one match ban has been rejected by the Court of Arbitration of Sport.

The Celtic manager received the ban after he was sent off during his side's 3-2 loss at Juventus last Tuesday.

O'Neill was outraged when a controversial penalty was awarded against his side in Turin, who had battled back into contention after being two goals down, and was dismissed by the German referee.

The ban means O'Neill will have to watch Tuesday's game at Celtic Park against Porto from the stands.

He is also banned from his team's dressing room and the stadium's tunnel.
