Derry City ended Rovers unbeaten start to the season with a deserve home win.
Tommy McCallion began and finished a superb opening goal on 52 minutes,
diving low to head in Padraig Moran's cross.
An uncharacteristic mistake by Pat Suclly gifted Derry their second goal
on on 72 minutes.
Scully gave the ball straight to Jamie Hughes who set up Liam Coyle to fire
home.
UCD 1 Galway United 2
Galway earned their first win of the season after Bobby Ryan sent them on
their way with a wonder goal on 57 minutes.
UCD played 70 minutes after midfielder Richie Purdy was sent-off for getting
two yellow cards inside the 20th minute.
Ryan then punished a goalkeeping error by namesake Barry Ryan to volley
home form 35 yards to give Galway a 57th minute lead.
Alan Murphy headed home Galway's second goal 13 miunutes from time after
good work by Billy Clery and Derek O'Brien.
Robert McAuley snatched a goal back for UCD in stoppage time.
