Soccer: Strachan leaves Sky Blues
Coventry manager Gordon Strachan has left the club by mutual consent following the Sky Blues' poor start to life in the First Division.
The 44-year-old had been at Highfield Road for five years but oversaw the club's relegation from the top-flight for the first time in 34 years.
Coventry chairman Bryan Richardson said: "I wish to place on record our sincere thanks and appreciation for Gordon's efforts on our behalf both as a player and as manager."
