Soccer: Soccer star on assault charge

Everton soccer star Danny Cadamarteri is due to stand trial today charged with assaulting a woman in a late night fracas.

The 21-year-old striker has pleaded not guilty to the alleged attack, which is said to have taken place in Liverpool city centre on October 1 last year.
