Premiership: Celta Vigo sign Silvinho from Arsenal

Arsenal have confirmed that defender Silvinho will move to Celta Vigo in Spain after his proposed return to Brazilian side Corinthians fell through.

The Gunners had agreed a fee with Corinthinians over the summer, but agreement could not be reached over personal terms. Celta Vigo signed the player for an estimated £5m today, just in time to beat the deadline for registering players for the UEFA Cup.
