Eircom League: Francis gives Rovers the points

A stunning Sean Francis goal won a very close match to give Rovers the

points.

It came on 34 minutes with Tony Grant very much involved. He won the ball

before receiving a return pass from Derek Tracey to cross and Francis to

head home.

David Ward should have equalised for Dundalk on 41 minutes but shot wide of

an open goal.

Martin Reilly then ought to have levelled in stoppage time but his header

from Stuart Connolly's cross flashed just wide.
