Magpies skipper Rob Lee picked up the first yellow card of the game after 24 minutes for a late tackle on Zenden.

A minute later, Chelsea were forced to make a change when John Terry came off with an injury to be replaced by William Gallas - which meant Chelsea now had more than £32million of new talent on the pitch.
