Brazilian superstar Ronaldo will make his Inter Milan comeback against Gianluca Vialli’s Watford tonight.

Vialli’s newly-assembled team take on the Serie A giants in a pre-season friendly at the Rigamonti Ceppi stadium in Lecco.

Ronaldo is desperate to play after recovering from the knee injury which ruined his World Cup final in 1998.

He said: ‘‘I am very tired of all these days of training and I am hoping to play against Watford.’’

Vialli chose the prestigious friendly as a way of motivating his young team to better things, but he was unimpressed by Ronaldo’s possible presence.

He said: ‘‘The match will be a great experience for my team. When you play against those sides you realise where you want to be and you work harder to get there one day.

‘‘But Inter have a lot of good players so I don’t think Ronaldo will make a difference if he plays.’’
