Barcelona are preparing to sell Marc Overmars after admitting he is no longer needed at the Nou Camp.

The Catalan club are trying to ship out all of Louis van Gaal's Dutch signings in a dramatic re-think of transfer policy.

And that means as well as Overmars, the likes of Patrick Kluivert and Boudewijn Zenden are up for grabs.

Overmars would command a fee of around £12m after failing to spark since moving from Arsenal last summer.

A Barcelona source told Sport First: "Barcelona have gone back to more traditional targets in the transfer market since the departure of van Gaal - and Overmars is definitely surplus to requirements.

"All the Dutchmen, even Patrick Kluivert, are on borrowed time. Barcelona's strength was traditionally from buying South Americans and that has now been started again."

Barca have splashed the cash this summer on Argentinian youngsters Juan Riquelme and Javier Saviola.
