Soccer: Celtic will join Premiership - Desmond

Businessman Dermot Desmond today forecast that his Glasgow Celtic triple Scottish soccer champions would "almost inevitably" be in the English Premiership within four or five years.

The Celtic chairman and principal investor said joining the premier league on the southern side of the border would make financial sense for both Celtic and Rangers - as well as the leading clubs in England, and claimed "the ball is already rolling".
