Soccer: Wimbledon bid for Connolly

Wimbledon football club have made a shock bid for the Republic of Ireland striker, David Connolly after his contract with the Dutch side, Feyenoord ended over the weekend.

Connolly moved to the Dutch giants from Watford four years ago but he failed to agree a new contract after he refused to accept a dramatic pay cut.
