Soccer: Veron acquitted in passport scandal

Lazio midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron has been acquitted by the Italian Football Federation’s disciplinary commission of providing false papers to obtain a European Union passport.

Lazio midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron has been acquitted by the Italian Football Federation’s disciplinary commission of providing false papers to obtain a European Union passport.

Lazio president Sergio Cragnotti was also found innocent along with director of sport Nello Governato but director Felice Pulici has been banned for a year.
