Cork City's hopes of reaching the UEFA Cup have been dealt a blow as FK Metalurgs of Latvia beat them at Turner's Cross.

Katasov scored the only goal of the game for Metalurgs on 70 mins.

City had a chance to level the game when Solobiev was sent off in the final minute but Pat Morley missed the resulting penalty.
