Irish midfielder Alan Mahon is to make his loan move to Blackburn a permanent one in a £1.5m deal.

The 21-year-old Dubliner was on loan at Ewood Park from Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon last season and impressed in Blackburn's campaign to return to the Premiership.
