Soccer: Redknapp agrees West Ham settlement
Harry Redknapp expressed his delight and relief after agreeing a contract settlement with West Ham.
Redknapp parted company with the Hammers a week ago along with assistant Frank Lampard senior.
And the Professional Footballers' Association deputy chief executive Mick McGuire has helped thrash out a deal after talks with Hammers chairman Terence Brown.
Redknapp said: "A deal has been agreed in principle and is now subject to signatures. I'm very pleased with the way the club has handled this situation.
"I shall always be a West Ham supporter and I wish them well for the coming season. I would also like to thank all concerned."
Brown said: "I'd like to place on record our thanks for what Harry and Frank have done for us over a period of time.
"I would also like to thank the PFA and, in particular, Mick McGuire, for the way they have handled and brokered this deal."
