Gérard Houllier believes the state of Liverpool’s pitch could handicap their battle to qualify for the Champions League.

Liverpool have now clearly got pitch problems closer to home as well as worrying about the state of the Millennium Stadium pitch for the FA Cup final against Arsenal in Cardiff on May 12.
