Darren Kelly ended a frustrating night for Derry as he secured their Premier Division status with a winner ten minutes from time.

Kelly, who had missed a sitter when heading wide from a corner just before the break, finally broke the deadlock when forcing home an Eddie McCallion corner.

A totally dominant Derry had failed to find a way through up to then as first-half chances for Sean Hargan, Eamonn Doherty and Stephen Parkhouse went abegging.
