Soccer: Galway win in Brandywell
Derry City 0 Galway United 1
Billy Clery all but secured Galway's place in the Premier Division with the winning goal at the Brandywell.
It came on 28 minutes when the Galway skipper forced home a corner taken by 18-year-old Jason Moran.
Jason's twin, Barry, might have had Galway in front seconds earlier as he forced the corner from Derry keeper Russell Payne who tipped over his tremendous shot.
Sean Hargan was denied an equaliser just before the break by a good stop from David Forde.
Forde then made another great stop to deprive Darren Kelly seven mintues from time.
