Soccer: Koller not moving to Fulham

Fulham have denied reports they are about to make an £8m swoop for giant Anderlecht striker Jan Koller.

The Craven Cottage club were reported to have agreed the fee with the Belgian club for the 6ft 7in Czech international.

It would have doubled Fulham's transfer record set last month when Alain Goma joined from Newcastle for £4m.

But club spokeswoman Sarah Brookes dismissed the speculation, although she admitted Koller would be a welcome addition to manager Jean Tigana's Premiership-bound squad.

She said: "There has been no dialogue between Anderlecht and Fulham Football Club. Obviously he's a good player and Jean is always looking to strengthen the squad but the rumours are not true."
