Shamrock Rovers cruised into the semi-finals of the FAI Cup with a three goals blitz inside 13 second-half minutes.

The game turned on a double miss by Shels' Davy Byrne before Tony Grant struck for the first of his brace on 50 minutes; hooking home a Brian Byrne cross.

Grant then headed in a brilliant second from Pascal Vaudequin's free-kick four minutes later.

Billy Woods added an amazing third goal on 63 minutes when beating Steve Williams with a terrific drive from 30 yards.
