Keith O'Connor dumped St. Pat's out of the cup to book Longford's quarter-final passage in this thriller at Richmond Park.

O'Connor struck for the winner on 61 minutes. He initially set up Vinny Perth to shoot and was then on hand to sidefoot home the rebound after Shay Kelly failed to hold Perth's shot.

Stephen Gavin punished poor defending by St. Pat's to steal the lead for Longford on 14 minutes.

The winger was quickest to the near post to get his head to a cross from skipper Wes Byrne to head home.

St.Pat's had missed chances from Ger McCarthy, Martin Russell and Mbabazi Livingstone before that, but continued to take the game to Longford, deservedly levelling on 31 minutes.

Robbie Griffin and Liam Kelly did the donkey work to set up Russell to blasted home from 20 yards.

Longford survived ten minutes of added time at the end to hang on for a memorable win.
