Scottish Cup: Larsson bags 43rd of the season
Celtic 1, Hearts 0 (full-time)
Henrik Larsson bagged his 43rd goal of the season against Hearts to put Celtic in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.
Hearts came to Parkhead fearing the worst after conceding 18 goals to Treble-chasing Celtic in four games this season.
The Bhoys had already dumped them out of the CIS Insurance Cup on their way to the final and were looking to join Hibernian and Livingston in the Scottish Cup semi-finals at their expense again.
Larsson, who scored two in this week's cup victory over Dunfermline, clearly always relishes playing against Hearts with six goals in three appearances against them this term.
The Swede, with 42 goals, also had another incentive to do well as he closes on Jimmy McGrory's all-time scoring record of 50 in season 1936-37 while the post-war milestone of Charlie Nicholas, with 48 in season 1982-83, was well within sight.
It came as no surprise that he scored the winning goal to put the Bhoys through to the last eight.
