FA Cup: Underdogs outwit Foxes with goal at the death

Leicester 1, Wycombe 2 (full-time)

Wycombe Wanderers are through to the semi-finals of the FA Cup by netting a winner at the death at Filbert Street.

It was Wycombe who opened the scoring in the second half when they got a free-kick from the right. Defender Paul McCarthy got in behind Akinbiyi to head into the Leicester net.

Leicester responded on 68 mins when substitute Eadie - on for Robbie Savage - made a diagonal run forward, looked up and found Muzzy Izzet who side-footed in from four yards.

It looked as if the sides were heading for a replay but with 30 seconds left on the clock. Essandoh scored his first goal in English football to put his side through.

Essandoh is on a two-week contract with the club after manager Lawrie Sanchez advertised on the internet for players due to the club's injury crisis.
