Soccer: Asaba to join Blades

Sheffield United are poised to sign Gillingham's Carl Asaba.

The Division One clubs have agreed a fee of £92,500 for the striker which will rise should the Blades reach the play-offs or higher.

Asaba passed a medical and agreed personal terms with United boss Neil Warnock yesterday.

Gills boss Andy Hessenthaler slammed Asaba after he pulled out of Tuesday's clash with Wimbledon hours before kick-off to have talks with Warnock.
