Soccer: Keane set to play in Athens

Roy Keane has recovered from his knee injury and is fit for the Champions League match with Panathinaikos in Athens.

Keane, missed Manchester United's draw with Leeds, trained before flying out with the rest of the squad.

He said: "The knee is fine. I just got a knock last week but I'm travelling out and raring to go. Hopefully we can get the result we need."

Paul Scholes, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Mickael Silvestre and Denis Irwin have shrugged off minor knocks and were also on the flight.

Ryan Giggs, though, has stayed behind for further treatment on his hamstring injury and Nicky Butts is suspended. United need to beat the Greek side to qualify from Group A and confirm their place in the last eight.
