20-year-old reserve team midfielder Gareth Evans will appear in court along with a second man charged with the same offences.

The pair are accused of assaulting a 30-year-old man in an incident outside the White Swan Inn, Rothwell, on Friday evening.

A West Yorkshire police spokeswoman said: "Two men were charged at Holbeck police station in the early hours of Sunday with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray".
