Soccer: Irish Trio miss Danish encounter

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Jason McAteer will miss the Republic of Ireland's friendly with Denmark at Lansdowne Road with a thigh strain.

Charlton goalkeeper Dean Kiely and Tottenham defender Stephen Carr have also pulled out. Kiely missed a reserve match on Wednesday with a groin injury, while Carr is struggling with a stomach problem.
