Waterford United entertain UCD in a third round FAI Cup replay at the RSC, bidding to well and truly end a replay jinx that has dogged them in the competition for the past seven seasons.

The Blues have lost replays to Galway (1995), Wayside Celtic (1996), St Patrick's Athletic (1998) and Longford Town (2000) in recent years, with their 2-0 victory at St Francis in a second round replay last month the first time they had taken care of any club at the second attempt since a replay win over Galway five years ago.

The Students are bidding to continue an impressive record in Cup football this season.

College may have lost the first leg of the League Cup Final to Pats, but Martin Moran's side have remained unbeaten in the other 13 ties they have been involved in this season.

The record has seen them win the Super Cup, reach the League Cup Final, and unluckily miss out in the Intertoto Cup on the away goals rule.

In the FAI Cup so far, UCD have beaten a plucky Youghal United in the second round, before earning that thrilling two-all draw at Belfield against the Blues in round three.

Kick-off tonight is at 7:30, with extra-time and penalties if necessary.
