Stan Collymore is expected to complete his transfer to Real Oviedo today.

Stan Collymore is expected to complete his transfer to Real Oviedo today.

The striker is having talks with the club and expected to sign a contract until the end of next season provided he passes a medical.

He could even make his debut against Las Palmas next Sunday if all goes to plan.

Miguel Solis, Oviedo's spokesman, said: "When Collymore arrives from Madrid he will need to pass a medical examination later on today before the contract can be signed and the deal finalised".

Bradford's chairman Geoffrey Richmond has agreed to let the controversial 30-year-old frontman go for nothing in a bid to reduce the Premiership side's wage bill.
