Sam Allardyce may have been busy announcing his first England squad yesterday, but he might have been wishing he was back where his managerial career began at LimericK FC.

The Superblues wrapped up promotion back to the SSE Airtricity Premier Division less than a year after going down by beating UCD at the UCD bowl last night.

Two goals from Paul O'Conor and one from John O'Flynn secured a 3-2 victory over the Dublin students and extended Limerick's unbeaten league run to 22 games.
