Christy Fagan swoops to keep St Pat's alive in Minsk

Christy Fagan worked the oracle once again with a crucial goal in Europe as St Patrick’s Athletic grabbed a battling draw in Belarus last night.

Liam Buckley’s side put their poor domestic form to one side to produce arguably one of their best displays of the season to give themselves every chance of reaching the third qualifying round of the competition with Dinamo due in Inchicore next Thursday for the second leg, after this 1-1 draw.

“I’m delighted, the players worked extremely hard,” said Buckley afterwards.
